Getting to sleep in the heat
Here are some quick tips to help you get some sleep in the hot weather...
• Put your bedding, PJs, pillowcase (whatever will fit) into the freezer for a few minutes before bed.
• Fill a hot water bottle with iced water.
• Fill a spray bottle with chilled water and keep it next to your bed.
• If you are wearing PJs, wear cotton as it is breathable.
• Have a cool evening shower. If you are not going to shower than rinse your feet in cool water. • Turn off all unnecessary electrical devices and power points in the bedroom.
• Put a tray of ice in front of a fan to cool the air. • Drink water regularly during the day!
