Chinese Blockchain Conference Was Interrupted by the Local Police

Police suspended the blockchain conference Global Fintech & Blockchain China Summit 2018 in Shanghai on the 12th of April, which was organized by PTP International, Cointelegraph reports.

The publication reports that visitors had to leave the premises at the request of police officers who arrived at the summit. According to the announcement published on the site of the event, the program of the conference consisted of speeches of cryptocurrency experts and presentations of projects on the blockchain, which belong to the cryptocurrency, financial and state structures.

The real reason for the disruption of the event has not yet been officially disclosed. However, according to local social networks, there are rumors that the police acted in the interests of deceived investors who lost a lot of money due to the activity of some ICO project, whose representatives took part in this event.

The organizer of the conference states that the information received from social networks does not have reasonable evidence. Moreover, he said that the company wants to provide compensation for moral damage to the participants and guests of the summit.

A representative of PTP International noted that the conference met the requirements of the laws of China and did not provide for the promotion of any ICO.
