This is exactly the reason one should have as little as possible to do with any exchange. Adding a third party in control of your money is never a good idea, just a necessary evil at times.
I completely agree with you. I try to keep a majority of my holdings inside of my hardware wallet or a desktop wallet. You can never be too safe with these exchanges.
