The Updated & Simplified Pitch

Ok folks, it seems the original posts were a little 'heavy' - let's lighten things up, and give this one more try!

This club was conceived by @kurtbeil - his motivation is to bring together a group of people who are frustrated by slow accumulation of STEEM - they put in a lot of time and effort and they wish only to benefit from it, but they also wish to contribute more to others through more positive and beneficial curation - people who love STEEM/STEEMIT and know it will be a huge success, and they simply do not wish to be left behind. People who are willing to commit to a plan of action that will help them accelerate their STEEM prosperity, while doing something beneficial to the platform - they see others on the platform doing very well, and it saddens them - they are not jealous, nor do they wish to limit the success of others, they simply wish to be more successful themselves.

Membership

Are you an active content contributor?
Are you an active curator?
Do you have a reputation higher than 50?
Do you have more than 500 STEEMPower?

Ideally we are seeking 50 members, but we'll begin with as few as 20.

To collectively invest in STEEM, and in one another!

Weekly Members-Only-Lottery

Each member who joins is assigned a randomly selected and unique number between 1 - 50.

Each week, each member will collect or purchase 25 STEEM in their STEEM balance, this will be their contribution to the weekly members-only lottery.

To make the selection fair, we will use the first number that drops in the EuroMillions Lottery, each Friday. The lottery draw is webcast live, and each number selected is 1 - 50 .. the member with the50 # which matches the first # dropped each Friday in the EuroMillions (or the closest to it) wins!

Each member would then send the winner their 25 STEEM directly - no escrow required! :)

This is just a fun way to maintain group cohesion and to increase our collective curation power, while helping boost the price of STEEM over time. Originally we thought that we would exclude the winners from subsequent draws, until everyone had won the lottery at least once, but this would be difficult to sustain, and frankly is not as fun and requires more work.

THE CATCH: Lottery winnings must be entirely powered-up!

The purpose of the lottery is to ramp up individual STEEM Power, so all can benefit from increasingly stronger curation, allowing each to gain far sooner than they would if they slowly accumulated STEEM on their own.

Will you commit to upvoting at least one post per day from each of your fellow members, at at least 50% upvote strength?

This is all that we will ask of eachother - choose at least one post, or all, made by each of your fellow the50 members, and upvote them to at least 50%.

How simple is that!?

Think of this as an incentive to invest in the future of STEEM. You may say .. "what!? I have to purchase 100 STEEM per month, and just put it out there for others to win!?" The magical thing about this is that it will all come back to you. The compensation for this faithful act, is that your work will receive upvotes from ALL other club members, with substantial collective, and growing power! The further benefit is that the greater STEEM community will not view us as simply a gang of colluders .. we are investing in STEEM and we are Powering it Up .. which is good for every single STEEMIAN!

If you are wondering what we will do about 'bad members'.

It goes without saying, that any member who fails to upvote his fellow members, religiously (there's a bot for that!), will forfeit their membership, and we will ask someone else to step up to inherit the position - the only stipulation would be that the incoming member has more STEEMPower than the departing.

If a departing member, or lapsing one, has also won the lottery, we would kindly ask them to power down the amount won, and return it to @the50 for redistribution back to the membership - if the person refuses, we will act against them by whatever means the membership decides. This also would apply to any member who fails to immediately Power Up their lottery winnings.
