Colombian mud volcano

Ok its not that spectacular… but what it lacks in grander it makes up for in quirkiness and fun! We tried to find out if its man made or natural (the mud is pretty hot!!) however there seems to be an on going debate lol..
One thing they seemed adamant on though was the the mud was supposedly great for the skin…. We were a little dubious about this. Though we had made the trip we might as well jump in!!
Now this stuff is weird!! You cannot touch the bottom, however you don’t sink. You can’t really swim, more just flail in the viscous soup of mud. It sort of gave me a sense of being in zero gravity with very little control suspended in a weird solid liquid mixture! However help was at hand, and there were some locals willing to move you about (even provide massage services) for a small tip ;)
Now to get clean!!! Heading back down the rickety stair case we rushed off for the local river In the river where there were ladies waiting there to wash us!! Yes, I couldn’t believe my luck however after seeing them strip down a friend wash him errr pretty forcefully I decided that I should probably try and keep my relationship on day 2 of our travels and opted to wash myself 😉
Overall, it was a great start to our trip! Not particularly Colombian, maybe a tourist trap but either way great fun!

i went also, but i was a little dissapointed with those people that push to everything, they push you to give you a massage then to wash you and then they start following you for money... even when we didn't get anything from them it was annoying hearing them and following people specially foreigners
Yeah, I suppose that was a little annoying, though if they rely on it for income I can see why they do it. I just stood my ground and made sure I only tipped those for the service I received. Thanks for the comment dude :)
I have been there its a good experience lol, i almost fell down on those stairs, also the shower after the volcano is a nice feeling :)

Yeah!!! jumped on a tour first day of our traveling trip :) It was cheap and looked good fun! I wasn't disappointed lol
yes its very cheap, also i did the snorkel tour and the beach, cartagena is a beatiful place

Ahaha it's one of those things that sometimes sounds great and other times you think.. errr why on earth would I do that. It was a great laugh in the end :)
What the.. I thought you'll see mud like that only in cartoons. It's somehow really beautiful and.. disturbing.
I can imagine I would freak out in a "pool" like that where you can't sink and still can't touch the bottom.
Honestly dude it was so strange! You could sort of stand upright too, but there was no base... Weird
I can't even imagine how it feels like. There are truly bizzare things in the world and some say "I don't need to travel, it's the same everywhere!" :D
Ignore those people!!! just do it man, get out and explorer!!!! best thing I have done!
