Bitcoin getting accepted as a form of payment in more countries

Despite having a bad reputation of being used to buy illegal items on the so-called “dark web”. Bitcoin seems to be increasingly adopted by countries worldwide.

Recently, online Polish food delivery website announced that it would accept payments through BitPay apart from it’s traditional payment methods.

Payments using Bitcoin do not have a transaction fee according to the website. However, the company noted that users must have their own bitcoin wallets to use the option.
In comparison with the Bitcoin payment method , there is a 6% fee for using credit cards or Paypal, and €1 for using Banconnect or Mister Cash.

Barclays has been in discussions with regulators and financial technology (FinTech) firms about possible implementations of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
