What is the difference between a deconstruction and a subversion?

deconstruction means rearranging the way you normally create something

subversion means not presenting the expected outcome

Then what's the difference between subversion and shock factor?

Shock factor is an extreme type of subversion, often used as a hollow jumpscare than for changing things around in a formula

Deconstruction as it is used in art is a post-modern concept which involves mental gymnastics and insanity to justify some form of contrary meaning to what is actually presented. Post-modern deconstruction suggests that literary texts can have multiple meanings, and is supported by another post-modern concept called Death of the Author. Death of the Author is the idea that the creator of the art is separate from the art. This would suggest that a text could have meaning other than what the creator put into it.

Deconstruction, as a term, existed long before the insane post-modern philosophers hijacked it and it is called analysis. It was part of critical thinking because breaking down an idea into its fundamental parts helps you understand the whole idea.

Subversion is taking a trope or concept and turning it on its head. Since Jacques Derrida's deconstruction is literal insanity, it is best to reject the concept entirely and stick with the more appropriate "subversion".
