What is a computer?

It is a pleasure to be associated with this community. So today I wanted to teach you about computer. So let me show you what a computer is.

It is a machine that allows us to digitally compile information by storing it inside it, without taking up too much space, only electromagnetic waves and pieces of certain material that are responsible for making them work correctly. Through these teams we can file documents, make reports, resumes, research (if you have internet), receive information of any kind. etc.

Parts of a computer

The computer is divided into 2 parts, these are the hardware and software (physical and program)

The physical part of a computer consists of things we already know as:

The monitor
The mouse
The keyboard
Printer (Usually comes separate from the computer but works hardware)
The CPU

But there are other things we hear about and the vast majority don't have much idea which are:

The power source: This is responsible for transforming the energy received from the outlet and regulating it for the proper functioning of the equipment

Ram Memory: It is the short-term memory of the computer, that is, it is the one that stores the processes of the hard disk and presents it on the screen so that it can be appreciated with continuity, because it basically goes through the information of the disk and as it finds it it is presented

Hard disk: In this disk absolutely all the information of the PC is saved, here are the documents, songs, all the information present in the computer, this includes programs for its operation and networks with which the computer has come to have interaction

VRam Memory: This type of memory is only responsible for presenting things on the screen, as its name indicates is a type of Ram memory, it can be said that one complements the other.

Motherboard: This card is the brain of the whole computer, this is the card that allows the connection between the CPU, GPU, Ram, etc. It is through it that all the components of the PC converge and give a result.

But as I mentioned before, a computer does not work only thanks to its physical elements, but also to the processes it performs digitally, and to work digitally, programs are needed, these programs are part of the software or rather, these programs are called software.

These programs are made in order to send instructions to the hardware for its proper operation, as they can also be used in order to facilitate a job such as editing a video (through what we know as multimedia editors, which end up being other software)

The softwares are divided into three types, this because each one has different functionalities and each one contributes something to the team in a specific way, these are:

System software: These are those that are directly related to the hardware, allow them to do something within the computer, they can also serve as support for other programs such as servers and operating systems.

Programming software: These are the programs that are used to generate more programs and information to a computer with the consequence of improving its performance, creating new applications or otherwise influencing some hardware

Application software: They are used in order to carry multiple tasks in a single program, in this category can enter communication platforms, multimedia players or video editors, a thousand and one more things like video games or even programs that allow storage and interaction between files are one of the most banal things to comment on this type of programs.

I have not commented on everything about computers because it would be too long a post, but I hope I have been able to contribute to this great community with this topic, which although it is not my favorite, is of my interest so I hope that this information will serve another
