Road to triumph is a series of posts where I talk about my progress through life, and what I did during the week to reach my 2018 goals.
This series is not only to document my progress but to motivate me to, I’m always trying to achieve more and to better myself, documenting my progress makes me work harder for it, no one likes to post online that they failed, failure is a word that I want to take out of my dictionary, even though I know it’s impossible, failure is a part of life, and only through failure does one know what they can still improve on.

Diary:

Exams are starting soon, and I'm starting to get stressed up, I'll probably have to reduce my posting to 3 a week, but if I have to do that to pass all my grades than I'll do that.
College is a priority to me, yes, our education system is not the best, but our brain is like a muscle, either we use it or lose it and in college, I use it a lot, and I want to be a Vet after all. Soon I'll have to start my daily studying marathons, and probably also reduce my workout to 3 a week, doing a Push Pull Legs split is great for this, because we only need to workout 3 times a week to get all the body parts and if we manage to go more than 3 times we can go.
I also watched the TV show, Jessica Jones, this last week, season 2 was finally released on Netflix and so I had to watch it, right now I'm halfway through. I need to watch this before all my exams start, I know how I'm like and I'm sure that if I don't watch it now I'll probably end up watching when I have to study...
My next exam is Pathology in 10 days! I have 10 days to study half a book... Gotta start now, I won't do any SteemStem posts for a while, need to focus on my education, SteemStem posts are the ones that require the most attention to, we need to source all our info, etc...
I'm thinking about doing more Dtube videos, I enjoyed doing my last very much, I just need to get topics to talk about, I could also do car Vlogs, I love driving around, but my main problem is that I would be wasting a lot of gas in doing so...
My journey to Badoka park was delayed, I'll probably have to end up going alone, everyone changed their minds once they saw the price...

I still haven't bought any books, but I'm making a list of books to read during the summer! Thus far the list contains:

  • Crushing It! - Gary Vaynerchuk
  • Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future - Ashlee Vance
  • Meditations - Marcus Aurelius
  • Rich dad poor dad
  • The millionaire next door
  • Another steemian named Suesa told me about this "Holes" book, I'm looking into if I want to read or not...

Good luck with your exams brooo

Ahh I didn't know you had a DTube vid, I'll have to check it out xD

I kinda wish I could get into books more, idk they've always bored me. I do a lot of reading don't get me wrong, but it's always random articles online etc. instead of an actual book. I just can't keep my attention to one, I listened to the odd audiobook back in the day though which I quite enjoy, same with podcasts.

The whole Steem/SBD thing is a bit meh but I'm not too bothered. The only reason why I'm not happy is because I don't have enough fiat to take advantage of the situation haha. Seems like the market is on it's way up anyway, unless it's another dead cat bounce.

I'm very confident Steem will get back to its ATH within the next few months so it really doesn't phase me anymore, I'm becoming numb to all these dips lol xD

Look regarding the dtube video... My mic is awfull it makes me sound like a child xD it's THE MIC believe me ahaha

Never got into podcasts that much, and books are new to me too, i used to read a lot but stopped when i started video games, but i guess at least by reading books i learn a lot!

Yeah, I'm also out of money to invest, if i had more i would invest more, i think i have an investing addiction problem xD the only reason the whole market dropped was because mt gox trustee sold those 400 millions of bitcoin, 400 millions does make a dent in the whole market, especially since the whole market is dependent on BTC price

Ohhhhh I thought it must have been your sister doing the voiceover or something ;) hahhaa nah you sound normal, although it's weird to finally hear your voice haha I'm used to chatting to you like this so I forget you've got a Portuguese accent. You should mix it up and do more though if you fancy it, could be a nice change now and again :)

Yeah that's the way I see it (although I think I have a problem too loool) but... realistically, the market has dropped substantially, eventhough the tech hasn't changed whatsoever. If anything, it's continuing to improve... it's just really easy to pay too much attention to the prices and get worried over nothing.

At the end of the day, if you truly believe in crypto, these kind of corrections shouldn't worry you bcos you're confident in the future and the technology behind it all. That's why it's so important to invest in projects that you understand.

Portuguese accent... british women love the portuguese accent xD I'll try to make a deeper voice next time, might end up drinking some bourbon or whisky before to make my voice even deeper ahaha

I've stopped looking at the crypto prices, i'll check it in some months, probably in may or something, my brother had 2 bitcoins, he sold them because he spent too much time looking at the price and was always stressing out with all the ups and downs.
I would rather spend my time creating content on steemit

I'm 100% confident in the future of blockchain, VET is one of those projects i know won't fail because they already have many companies on board, NEO, EOS and ETH are the ones that make me confused, but looking at EOS and knowing what i now know i think EOS will surpass ethereum sooner or later, it might not be this year, or the next, but sooner or later.

Weeeell spoiler alert, BTC is up 10% today :D

Yeah that's a good point to be fair. I won't claim to be an expert on absolutely every crypto I have holdings in.

Any alt-coin niche coin like BAT and Enjin I made sure I did thorough research on before investing because they're still relatively small in size unlike the main coins so I needed to ensure it was a good idea to back them. Stuff like Ethereum on the other hand I hold a larger proportion in, but I don't profess to be an ETH expert at all haha. I mean I get the general idea, smart contracts etc. etc. but it's not like I know the hardcore fundamentals and can code in Solidarity or anything haha.

I've recently become a big fan of Tone Vays, he's an ex-Wall Street trader who's now a Bitcoin Maximalist. He basically hates 99% of all alt-coins and preaches Bitcoin is the only worthy coin hahaha. I disagree with him, but it's certainly interesting to listen to him (and he is great with TA), I think people do sometimes get a little carried away with alts, Bitcoin still has a huge dominance over the entire market and probably will do for a while still.

My portfolio went 10% up today so from that point of view it was nice. Im sure it will go up in the long run so I do not really care what happens now. Just annoys me that Steem went down, because of lower upvotes and payout.

Have written down your books on my "want to read"-List

Sooner or later it will increase, let's stay focused on the consistency! Consistency is the key for greatness

I am impressed> Best Wishes in the exams.

Thanks! I'm going to study hard for them.
Thanks for reading!

It's great that you are setting your priorities straight. The thing with the price is that we have to go through these kind of periods in order to achieve new highs. Things can't go up forever and right now we're paying the price for the crypto craze at the end of past year. Markets move in cycles. That's the way it is.

100% true! It's a shame people don't get that! I'm actually going to write a posst about that either today or tomorrow

Interesting, seeing that i just saw a few pages of Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. a coincidence maybe. lol

Good luck in your exams bro. i had one this morning.

It was recommended to me by a friend of mine.
How did the exam go? Trying to steemit and study at the same time is hard right?

Lol. it is. have to squeeze out extra hours from my sleep time each night to make up for time.

all crypto is in the dumps right now sadly but it will get better eventually. I have been mulling on if I should do a daily progress report as well it keeps oneself accountable. Pathology is super interesting I think if I had to choose a medical profession it would be a toss up between, genetic engineering , veterinary science or medical coroner.

In my honest opinion, don't do a daily one, do a weekly one, daily progress posts bore people... at least in my opinion. Maybe if you like writing you could start writing a story, or maybe you could start a poetry post series, i have like 3 or 4 ideas for summer daily posts in my notebook :P saving them all for when i make steemit my summer job

nods will think about it could combine it with something we will see i post like a madwoman already lol

I try to keep a healthy balance between quantity and quality :)

Thankfully I do not have quality issues I just try to curb myself as I have so much stuff in my head that wants out ... edit plus I refuse to use bots it repulses me so I have to create a bit more to be seen eventually.

I've never used bots, even though i've thought about it, especially this last week, the ledger post and both investing post are really well made and of great quality, i think i should be receiving a lot more for them, but i'm going to keep lvl up on steemit, i see this as a game more than an investment
Right now i'm lvl up my character xD

nods. I have a ton of posts that go unnoticed or only get comments weeks later and it can be a bit demoralizing when I contrast them to some of the crap posts making hundreds of $. But to me using bots is like using cheat codes in a game sure you get through it faster but you know deep down you did not deserve the win and it turns to sand in your mouth. I thoroughly plan on winning this game I just want the win to be the biggest juiciest Pie I ever tasted :P

yeah, i agree with you! Let's keep grinding our way to success! Networking is a big part of all of this! The more you network the better you are going to be

Hi @teutonium what and interesting post i will be reading all of them wow i am addicted to your posts 😊
