Steem prices, you could be underestimating the key thing.
Suddenly
something pops up and you realise that someone else has to tell you why.
Mostly for us newbies we tend to forget the one big thing about cryptocurrency. Fluctuations.
Recently a friend of mine asked me why his posts pay outs are going up with out any additional upvotes.
Last time the same person was frustrated that his posts dropped all of a sudden, so he thought someone had flagged him. Of course we checked his steemnow just to confirm. Never know.
Yesterday he was among the happiest people on earth after his post of $25 shot to $33.
That's when we talked about it.

Good enough we all have enough time on our computers to figure these things out.
If you are going to give steemit some time, then vow to give it some quality time of concentration.
There was a time around the beginning of this year when i read a post by a certain whale, can't really recall him but he advised people to power up.
I recall the the steem prices had gone really up in just two days. I had no idea why, maybe because i was new.
Last December i was adviced to go to the internal steemit market and sell steem for sbd, glad enough someone told me why.
I will say, It's almost about prices.
Actually it's about prices.
And we all know it.

All the excitement about prices, we cam all feel it.
People making posts, predicting the prices, showing their gains.
I think.
Actually it is right to say.
Prices are our friends regardless of the situation
Whether it's a dip or rise.
Looks like we have been in a dip at the prices $1.53 about steem and sbd.

Again this being a dip is not entirely true, this actually stems from our expectations of these prices.
Last year 2017 at about this time of the month, it was hard to consider this a dip.
But let's see
About two weeks ago i read @jerrybanfield's and he was explaining why it was a nice idea to post alot when the prices are low. He had some valid points, and surely they helped alot.
Maybe i will not to explain to you the technical bit of it, some whales are much better at that, they post alot of things like that, they try to teach us how things work and how to maximize the potential gains.
I guess you have checked some of your very recent payouts and realized that the steempower is lower according to how the payouts have been a few weeks ago. Right?
Yes it's because of the steem prices.
There will come times when it's better to power up 100% on posts, there are times when a 50% 50% is ideal.
There will be seasons when it's advisable to sell your steem for sbd or vice versa.
Some days it will be more profitable to lease steempower.
There will be some seasons when your vote is worth alot more and otherwise.
It will always come down to prices.
Let's look closely at these prices.
Make some smart decisions.
Thank you.
As always
