THE AWESOME POSE. || the birthday portrait
I am so glad I could come back with an amazing post on the @worldofxpilar community page. May you always be in good health and protected by God Almighty.
How was your week? I hope everyone is doing great!? And I hope you had a productive and fruitful week? I'm here again with another photorealism realistic charcoal and Graphite portrait. I want to present to you a realistic portrait drawing of my newest client which was commissioned his friend.
I will say this is one of the work that brought me to popularity among my neighbors.
Though it was a rushed project but I did well, for all my artworks are representing me.
Please pardon me for not having the progress shots of this work.
It was a rushed work and it was raining so I couldn't take pictures of the progress shots because I always shoot my works outside, that is, outdoors. Please stay tuned. I'm working on something new.

Here are the steps on how I did the portrait.
I drew my grid lines and made my sketch then started shading it gradually as usual. having a grid for sketch has been so good to artist because it gives you 100,% of accuracy when it come to the need for exact proportion. Starting with one side of the face which was the eyes, eyebrows and other features of the face. Then gradually move from left to right. this is how many artist draw to prevent smudging. Now to achieve that realistic skin texture and skin pores I had to sharpen my charcoal pencil for detailing and use my tombo mono zero eraser to erase lights, highlights, pinpoints, making it real and accurate.
