Tiramisu is the most famous Italian cake in the world. It is said that this dessert originates in Siena (Tuscany). Around the XVII century, some shepherds decided to prepare a dessert in honor of the Duke of Tuscany Cosimo de Medici. They thought of making a dessert with a simple but extremely tasty ingredient.
At first this dessert was known as the "duke's zupa". Cosimo de Medici took the recipe with him and so this dessert began to become known throughout Italy and to much prefer the other Italian nobles. It is said that this dessert has aphrodisiac properties and for this it was later named Tiramisu.


Tiramisu Recipe Ingredients

○ For 6-8 people
400 g Savoiardi long biscuits
500 g Maskarpone (cheese type)
6 eggs
130 g of sugar
a little cacao powder (on the top of the dish)
3 cups espresso coffee (to wet the biscuits)


Prepare Tiramisus

First we prepare the coffee to moisten the cookies and let it cool slightly. Meanwhile in a large bowl we beat the egg whites until it becomes a true white foam. In another bowl we beat the egg yolks with the sugar. We bend it hard until the measure is done in yellow. Add to it the maskarponen and stir it well. We also join the whites of fried eggs. We are troubled. The tiramisu cream is ready.
In a long casserole we lay a piece of biscuits that we have wet with coffee before. We cover them with a layer of cream and we put cocoa powder on top of a site. Add another layer of wet biscuits with coffee. We cover it again with a layer of cream and finish tiramisun with a layer of cocoa powder. We put the dessert in the refrigerator for several hours before serving it.
