Love Turned Sour

She went for the date and she smiled as he approached and he quickly said you look beautiful. Thank you very much I hear that a lot (In her a corner of her mind, she felt he did not deserve to feel any special).
He quickly ignored her reply and said place your order madam. After a long while of laughing and chatting, he had to go and drop her at home.

In the car, he said: I just want to be your friend, from your actions I understand that you have been hurt in the past but I want you to know that life still continues and you need to try and give love another chance.

I wish I could say the same, you wouldn't just understand what I feel in my heart, it is a feeling of betrayal and hurt, how can I love someone so much and all I get back in turn is betrayal and back stabbing. isn't that unfair?

Trust me when I say I understand the way you feel, I have as well been hurt before. I had a Lady whom I loved so much, she comes from a poor background, she showed in interest in going to school and since her parents could not afford her fees I payed everything and patiently waited for her to round up with school in order to start marriage preparations since he had been waiting for her ever since as that was her desire, I really loved her and I could give anything to make her happy.

Few weeks to our wedding, I just decided to stop over at my best friend's place to engage in some discussion and behold I found my fiancee with a towel coming out of my best friend's room, that cenerio is one I cannot forget in a life time.But, I have decided that life must continue I cannot continually become a victim of my past and that is the reason why I want us to be friends.

I will see you next time, you can call me anytime you need someone to talk to, I will always be at your service. She steeped of the car and went inside her house with her eyes filled with tears
