This piece is for Word Poetry Challenge #8 : Sunset by @jassennessaj. Luckily, I won last week's contest so I'm really happy about it. And because of that, I can only participate for this week's contest but my entry won't be valid to win this week. Anyway, I like this week's theme, so here's my entry. <3
SUNSET
Is such a great blessing from up above
Reminding us that even though our days might end
There's still a lot to admire and truthfully commend
The sunset we share with the one we love
Is a dream, one always wanted to have
Hand in hand while looking at the sky
Is more than a drug that takes us so high
The warmth it brings is beyond physical
What we feel in our hearts is phenomenal
It resembles a promise of a better tomorrow
A tomorrow which includes no sorrow

I took the picture above in Alegria, Cebu when I and my bestie spent a night there. The sunset that time was beautiful even though it was a bit cloudy. <3
