After the storm

in #homesteading5 years ago (edited)

Last night heavy storms hit our area

The damage in the area was so bad that it made national news and I was getting calls and texts that started last night and kept coming through out the day. Just south of where I live maybe 3 or 4 miles is Huntsville and Pendleton, Indiana and they were hit very hard. As a tornado ripped through those communities. They have shut down both towns noone is allowed in unless they live there. Half of Pendleton had to be evacuated due to a gas leak to the high school. When I am able to I will go over and document the damage but currently the town is shut down.

But I got worried about my plants

We might have some damage in the tree area but our house is not near trees so we didn't really have to worry about damage from those but with all the rain and how strong the winds were last night I needed to check on everything. Thankfully everything came through okay except for one sweet pepper it was knocked off the plant.

Overall everything held up pretty good.

I been sick over the last few days. So I am behind on my planting. But I hope to get caught back up this weekend. As I am starting to feel better and if I am I will be getting caught up on my planting as I am no longer in pain unless you count my throat my this cold.
