811 Before you dig at least in the United StatesteemCreated with Sketch.

So we are building and one of the things that we had to do was call 811 before we dig so they can come and mark the utility lines. You always want to call before you dig because you don't want to puncture a gas or water line. That can be dangerous and very expensive.

Our property doesn't have an address yet on it. We have two steps we are waiting to be completed before we can get an address. So it has been fun getting the utilities out to an address that doesn't exist yet. Finally though we got them out. They come and paint lines and put flags where the utilities are underground.

I was kind of surprised to see this buried do people still use home phone lines? lol just joking my parents still have a home line

Now this one we were really happy to see as this means even less work on our property needs to be done and it means no pole what so ever in our yard as we have buried access.

The home we are building is all electric so we don't need the gas lines but it is good to know where they are located at.

Don't forget to call before you dig you don't want to rupture a utility line.

Nice to see it coming along. Does 811 charge you for the visit?

That's a good idea, a ruptured gas line would get really exciting in a bad way!

Right that is what I am saying don't want to rupture anything, gas line or anything else would be bad enough but a gas line could be really bad...

I love reading your post because I am able to develop my English writing skill. I got many information as well. Thanks.
