so much for 2020 vision! first you gotta survive tomorrow

How ya coping? You doing ok, I think we have been in isolation for what like a month now? I’ve lost count of the days and weeks if I’m honest, the only other metric now that I go on is if the supermarket has eggs or not. I’m in the process of saving my pennies in the hope that I’ll still be able to get my provisions in the next week — until then, we grind out on our works!
Saw that Krakatoa blew it’s lid this morning.
I don’t think it was a massive eruption but it seems like the whole ring of fire is on high alert after that release as they often expect others to pop off and release as well when you get a displacement like that — you know, just to add more drama to your already drama ladened 2020.
It’s certainly not the same 2015 “20-20 vision” ring to the year for me just yet, all those banners and posters that I used to see in the high street in derby near the co-working centres promising big co-working spots in 2020 after getting matched EU funding to build some super awkward and arrogant monolith of the proof of being able to play the EU matching funds game and ending up delivering some soulless chamber of secrets instead.
But I digress, I had hopes that I could reframe previous bad interactions and move into 2020 with a fresh new outlook on the new decade ahead.
Seems not, at least not for now!
I’m taking bets on maybe may will bring about meteors?
Listen, stay frosty out there, get your basics locked down, get some good boots, a clean water source, some tins of something, even try and pick up a leisure battery and a solar panel if you can — you never know when you might need to use that to keep your wifi and mobile devices going, stay connected, help others to do the same!
For today at least I get to enjoy the sunshine and the quiet, maybe I’ll do some exercise after my sit in the sunshine, take in nature, take some big breaths and enjoy the heat on my face as I get my bath in vitamin d.
