I go between fear and dread and feeling positivity that I've managed to get to the end of a week without starving to death and that soon I'll be in front of my daughter again standing at the school gates. My favourite part of every week is seeing her smiling face as she walks out of the school with her friends.

Right now I'm between a place of panic and serenity (are you noticing the polar opposites in me this morning?) I've got a few weeks to get some funds together to get my car looked at and that reverse fixed on my car otherwise I've got no chance of putting it through MOT and it passing.

The serenity part of me is that whatever will be will be. I can't force it, or should i say never feel like forcing it and often allow the cards to fall as they may, if i was more on top of the situation i would have had a plan in place since last year to make sure this would not happen but my income and work front has been extremely quiet. I've had moments of course but nothing to keep things going. I'm barely keeping my head above the surface at times.

mucho sleeps

Last night and this morning i seemed to be waking up nearly every hour, some how magically however i still managed to get some sleep and i was out between 5/6am till about 8am - i jumped outta bed and got ready quickly, big slug of water (with lemon) from the fridge and packed up my ipad, wireless keyboard, diary and my wallet. I was at the cafe/free wifi spot i love by 9am.

I was hoping to come here around midweek but it never happened, funds and just work pace in general, i just could not make it happen in the week, i find that i need to have at least one day of the week away from the van so to refresh my thinking, change my space and recharge the creativity batteries.

I'm actually considering taking a good old walk today at the nearby forestry walks to get some oxygen in my lungs - excited to be picking up the girl later on today, i could go back to the van and work there but depending on the weather i think i would be better outdoor.

Just had to stick the headphones on and the MP3 player because people around me in the cafe area are talking politics and the election. It's not that I'm not interested in the outcome it's just I'm not interested in hearing about it at this time in the morning when I'm taking my time out - i like to have some level of control of my environment, i guess it's just one of my little OCD's.

kit level emergency

Man, i need a new ipad. I'm still surviving (literally hanging on by a thread) on an ipad2 mini with a hella smashed screen, it makes it near on impossible to touch the screen and it function properly, I'm thankful for being able to use the Bluetooth keyboard and the fantastic BEAR app to write this out. I've tried a number of applications but I'm pretty set on BEAR, it looks awesome on both the ipad and the desktop.

So that's pretty much my friday so far, i know i have course stuff to record and I'm putting it off which is stupid because i really need to get through it and get this first new template layout in the bag. I know once I've done the first one I'll rattle through the next one easily.

I should be able to build out other courses fairly rapidly too with the new dynamic text includes i made, it's just a case of replacing the folder with the same structure every time. I'll have to obviously go in and double check the text length/alignment but as long as I keep to what I've already got or less it should look ok.

The ultimate idea for that would be some kind of app or web app that allows me to enter the header and topics in one place and spit out the files i need in the directory file format that i have already. An interface would make the updating and adding of that easier -- as a side note i just asked cloudapp on twitter if they have a mobile app, would be useful for me to be able to take photos and upload them to cloudapp and get the url to it so i can drop that into this mobile post - would speed up posting right there and then
