The Steemfest 2 Countdown: 30 days to Go!
it just totally hit me that it’s thirty days to go until steemfest rolls around and everything has to happen for that. so i need to clarify a few things and what is happening i guess because like me i have so much stuff happening it’s insane and you know how everyday can roll around so quickly and everything can change so much.
powering down for ticket 2
so @dayleeo powered down a little this week and i’ve got my power down coming in a few days time so top up the fund on her account. we need 185 steem to get her ticket for #steemfest2 so we are going half on that ticket seeing as i won mine in a contest. super thankful for that, i think it would have been super hard for both of us to make it otherwise but bringing down those costs has been massive. so a few days and we should have sorted.

so i guess these things all happen together because hey that’s the way the world and life is eh but i’ve not really known where i stood on these things so this is a situation that’s causing me anxiety because i had kinda got into a routine and everything was just great, few changes on that side, just hope i can maintain the place i am because it’s really perfect for at least the next 6/12 months and i really need things to ideally stay as they are and ramp up the work side of things to cover the backlog here. i’m happy to work at that side of things and it’s a lot more rosey on that score than it was before
need to start work on the flow of the 3 apps
i want to foster conversation at steemfest about some MVP products i want to make, i can’t say too much right now but they are basically things i’ve been thinking about since i started vlogging over a decade ago, those things have never left me so i know now that they are things i need to put more thought into, i think steem was the missing link when it comes to the transaction, time and funding side. they make so much more sense now especially since the notion of blockchains has been shown to me and i know that it’s going to run on one or with a SMT somehow.
hotel & flights are kinda booked
i say kinda because they are but i need to get my half sorted. i have a new client and i have an open contract but i’m just not getting work assigned to me fast enough each week to be able to crush the time before the week is over and the clock as such resets basically meaning i’m leaving money on the tablet right now that could be going towards this. i know it will come good i’d just like to be in a better situation in the next four weeks. i know i know, it’s just me pushing and it will unfold in it’s own time.
transportation and logistics
lot’s happening in the next few weeks which i guess is causing anxiety too, feel like it’s gonna be a dash at the end to get everything into clarity, even thou we are travelling light and have put a bunch of buffers in it’s still a little bit insane to pack things together like this but we did it anyway. you’ll know more about this around the 17th of this month. trust me, those days will race between now and then. more on that as i get nearer. also, i need some work done on the car but that might have to wait till after steemfest. i can still use it but i need to get stuff done on it.
blogging on-the-go while at steemfest 2
i’m going completely mobile video blogger mode at steemfest 2, no laptops, just all mobile, bluetooth keyboards and everything all cloud based and macros so i can rapidly cover the event with my social media hat on like i used to do events. it’s my blood to do things at festivals and conferences as if you are a remote viewer. i did it for years as a brand advocate for nokia and i want to stretch my legs a little. i’ve already been making little bits and pieces ahead of time so i have a bunch of macros that make it easier, i’ve also got some backup batteries for when i’m on the go each day in the amazon cart — roll on online work payouts! :)

@dayleeo is on point with all things organising - TripCase Travel App: Manage Itineraries, Trips & Flights - on her side as well, we got instructions all setup in an app for all of the events during steemfest, we even got data sims ready and waiting for us at the airport. how organised is that. we got a deal for 30gigs of data for 15 euros which is a pretty good deal. i’m not sure how good the wifi is in all the places and i want to make sure i’ve got connectivity between places as well for pushing things to the web, especially because 1hr of video streaming is normally 1gb of data, gotta keep an eye on that. will probably do an app lists before steemfest 2 rolls around! — look out for that
mostly excited to meet all the people
the collaborative video was the first step for making those global connections but their is nothing like meeting people you know through online and avatars in the flesh and i think steemfest2 is gonna be a hug fest as so many interesting people will be there. the face to face connections are always the best. so much to discuss, so many little podcasts and interviews to make, will definitely have my media making hat on and i’ll be sharing them with you each day, we are staying till the end.
smart to get it all out there on the blockchain, I know we're both feeling the pressure of so many moving parts and processing eventualities, but I also feel peace in the face that this is the right move. Effort and intent has never failed is before love!
