remove the shackles of permission and restriction, breath deeply creative and take flight.
my mind goes fast, it’s number crunching when at full flight like a gpu looking for solutions to the maths in a blockchain calculation. i see the micro, the macro and the full focal length of a situation from many angles both in a logistical and an empathy based framework. it’s a gift and a curse, it can be an activator and reductionist at the same time — then comes along the ‘naysayers’ and the ‘sideliners’ the often apathetic different kind of distractor economy. the ones that are waiting for permission by a study, a local government or someone else. it’s just not you. it’s not you because of the ideology already weighted on you by the opinion of you.

be it a husband, wife, boss or even a service person in a local business, we encounter this permission and access issue many times in our lives, it serves often as a roadblock, a confused moment of silence, a dumbfounded calculation of working out PI gone wrong as you come on up on your double shot expresso wondering why you still get this really expensive mother fucking early morning train when the money you spend could buy you a small car in six months if you just worked from home and saved. you know the moments. the moments when you wonder, what in the actual sweet fuck am i stuck in this holding pattern for.
i see it all the time. the battle of the mind. the battles between two minds, the anchoring of established legacy information mapped onto a new potentially way of thinking. ‘nope’ won’t work, it’s always been that way and always will be or ‘you’ll never have any money’ so steadfast in the decision that you believe it because let’s be honest you trust that judgment of that person and well you kinda gave in to the fact that the information was in some way solid and valuable. we apply bondage to ourselves in our creativity when we conform to how we are perceived when in hindsight it maybe that simple don’t have the full context to be able to share. we are out of sync and don’t have all the answers for each persons interpretation of their own expectations, in whatever way that manifests.
i believe it’s one of the reasons why we have ended up with startup culture being so fucking broken. instead of releasing burn rate data to help the next startup generation and expose where better work could have been done and costs kept down we actually only celebrate the big rounds of funding, like throwing paper (from trees btw) on the open fire to give us more time to feed air into the flames to keep the illusion going to to keep us materially warm by the injection of cash into a belief that it’s gonna make it. it’s hard to see many original things these days because of it, it’s a bit of an innovation lull while everyone is gorging on pseudo ico's and notions of personal financial success letting forests burns and ocean acidify because we can still buy sushi today right? cool, ok.
throughout my life i’ve felt restricted in my thoughts from watching and wanting to be on the cutting edge, i might not know how the codebase works or what the end game is, who could, but i do track the social effects and ramifications on society — remember when your friend or older family members said they would never have a smart phone or an ipad and yet here we are all all connected up to the teeth with the stuff.
asking for forgiveness later is the order of the day these days, maybe it’s always been that way, maybe that’s ‘business’ in a nutshell. we don’t know what the fuck we are doing but it sounds like a thing we should head towards, don’t worry about the plane wings setting fire to the trees at the side, this business plan of the mind will carve it’s own runway and then leave it behind once we no longer need to land there again. i think their is some value of knowledge to be born out of understanding this principle before we collectively overshoot the runway into a reality that sustains nobody.
anyway, my point here. now that i’ve let off some steem using words as weaponry and i’ve double tapped everything in my mind in the process to make sure it’s down. don’t wait for permission of your own brain to experiment, don’t wait on a spouse or a loved one or even someone 3rd party on the outskirts, they don’t know who you are and what you are trying to achieve. you’ll never have the blueprint that fits them, only the one you need for right now exists and it MIGHT be completely wrong.
but holding on to it, not putting it out there, waiting for the right time, waiting for the restrictions to work themselves out while you sink lower and lower into a pit of loneliness that you will potential creatively die without living, just existing inside of your own mind as you output decay. well that’s not serving anyone. it’s certainly not good for your health. i understand that you don’t want to upset, rock the boat, respect the wishes of the people you consider peers. i get that, and that’s valued. but you have to live your life too.
