Let the show begin! Be the star of your presentation!

Presentation is not only about showing what you prepared for the audience on board. If you want to perform an effective presentation, there are some keys points that we all should consider. In my opinion, presentation is a kind of show in which you are a star. I don't mean to say that you should start your presentation like the guy in the image above. However, an impressive start is a must.
Let's imagine that you presentation is about the problems in your city. Showing a video about the city or some clear lines related to topic can help you to make a good start in your presentation. If you want your audience to pay attention to your presentation during the time which is given to you, you should break the ices in the beginning of presentation with an impressive start by using some visuals like the ones I mentioned in this paragraph.
Don't let them sleep!
After making your impressive start, you should start following your plan carefully. It is important to plan all your steps in your presentation before stepping on stage in front of your audience. As an English teacher, I always feel like I perform presentations in my classes all the time. Since I work with students in group classes, I have to make my students or audience feel impressed with my presentation.
However, the efficiency of my presentation is not only dependent on me. A good presenter is the person who is well prepared for the show and a good presenter should also know how to engage audience in presentation. Asking them questions during the presentation, trying to learn what they think about the lines you are reflecting on board can help them to learn and enjoy your presentation at the same time.
Keep it simple, keep it clear!
If your want your audience to be in your presentation actively without having any difficulties in focusing on everything you present, you should keep one thing in your mind that long and never-ending sentences are not interesting for audience at all. If you make an impressive presentation , you should help them to learn about your ideas by pointing some clear and simple sentences.
In addition to this, traditional presentations which make audience feel like they are listening to a news reporter on tv are not appealing anymore. As you are performing your work with simple and powerful lines, it is important to support them with lots of visuals on board. Using videos, graphics and charts will boost your presentation and make it perfect.
Feedback and time
As I have mentioned in this post before, your presentation should create the atmosphere where everyone can join the presentation actively. It doesn't mean that they should take the control and you should sit down on your seat. What I mean with this statement is you should plan your presentation based on the engagement of your audience. When you get to the end of your presentation, feedback can help you to do it.
If you want to make the things you have told clear, you can direct them some questions written on board or a questionnaire. Leading them to think about the presentation can make a perfect ending. In addition to feedback, there is one more thing that I would like to mention in this post.
Time management is a must in order to complete all steps that you planned before the presentation, so spending time about a subject longer than it should be can ruin your presentation. To sum up my article, all the things I have mentioned in this post must be done together. If a presenter misses any of these points like the start of presentation, engaging audience into presentation, that presenter is likely to feel sad about the results of the show.
