Opinon: Kavanaugh/Ford Hearing and What's Ensued

Pretty much every American has watched at least portions of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing where Christine Ford told her story about she believes Judge Kavanaugh tried to rape her and Judge Kavanaugh defended himself against the allegation.  There was plenty to pick apart there.  It was clear to me that something happened to Ms. Ford.  It was also clear that Brett Kavanaugh didn't do it.  What was glaring is that the democrats shattered the "Me Too" movement and sex crimes will now be used as a weapon.  Much like "the boy who cried wolf" these horrible crimes may be ignored if it is allowed to run rampant.

While protesters have all come to the conclusion that because he was accused he is guilty (either that or they were paid to make that conclusion) there is more evidence against Ms. Ford than against the Judge.

She "hates" flying but is a world traveler.  Not only does Ms. Ford seem to have no issues with flying but she does it often.  It seems to me that someone who can't stand to fly would choose hobbies and interests that do not involve flying.  In fact, considering she claims that her fear of flying stemmed from a sexual assualt when she was a minor it seems that she would have never developed an interest in anything that would involve flying.  Yet, she seems to fly multiple times per year.  

Ms. Ford brought these claims forward in a letter to Senator Diane Feinstein back in July.  Furthermore, her claim is that the incident happened 35 years ago when she was in high school.  If that is the case, why did she need to refer back to her written account of the alleged assault?  If she was telling the truth, she should remember it all exactly having thought about it for 35 years.  Why would her story change so many times?  She actually changed her story while giving her testimony!  What's more damning to her story is that she has had this letter out since July and has to re-read her story while testifying to remember what it was.  

So, Ms. Ford, you are telling the Senate Judiciary committee and the American People that on the "worst day of your life" you don't remember how you got there but you remember what you were doing before you went to the home.  Also, after the alleged experience you remember leaving the room, walking down the stairs and hearing a conversation that you couldn't hear but not who you called or who drove you home?  I'm no Dick Tracey but I don't buy it.  Considering the car ride would have been uncomfortable and you only had "one beer" it seems like that would be the longest car ride of your life.  In a nutshell:  You remember everything up to the end of diving practice, then go blank when there is a possible witness.  Then you remember everything that happened in a house somewhere within 20 miles of your pool.  Then you go blank again as soon as another possible witness is present.  Nope, sounds extremely convenient.  Not to mention nobody else who "was there" seems to remember any of the above.

One of the biggest oddities in Ms. Ford's Testimony was when she said she didn't know how to get in touch with the White House.  A woman with 4 degrees, one being a PHD, who regularly hosts Google interns at her home couldn't figure that out.  Well, I only have one degree and it just took me 5 minutes to figure it out.  This is one piece that I have been hung up on since hearing the testimony.

The most damning evidence against Ms. Ford if the complete lack thereof.  It seems very convenient that this allegation has literally no way of being proven.  Why wait so long?  Why not take it to authorities? Why won't one single person corroborate your story?

I'm with the crowd who believes this was a hit job from the start.  Not to get too conspiracy crazy here but I would be willing to bet there was a plan along these lines for each and every person on President Trump's short list of candidates.  After all, the democrats have repeatedly pushed that "she made the claim back in July".  Yes, and I bet every other candidate on the shortlist would have had "claims" made against them at the same time.  We will obviously never know but my guess is that Ms. Ford is just one person whom Feinstein has a letter from.  There was likely one such piece  of "damning evidence" against every one of them.  

If that was the case, the Democrats must have seriously hoped that Kavanaugh would not be the pick.  The "damning evidence" had to be the flimsiest of all the candidates.  If you have to go to ice throwing when your smear plan backfires it makes you look a little desperate.  

At the end of the day, I believe the hope was that Judge Kavanaugh would back out of the running when these allegations came to light.  You could see in Feinstein's face that she was completely shaken when the Judge came out swinging.  Never would she consider that someone would come out swinging at such allegations.
