New coin for the stack, with a sad ending!
2016 American Gold Eagle 1 oz
A very close friend of mine gave this to me as a going away present, he has a super rare form of leukemia that will take his life soon. It brings tears to my eyes to write about this knowing this wonderful man and his family have to go through this!
This special friend has been a mentor to me and has been my boss for 25 years. He always got mad when I introduced him as my boss and would say we are friends. He is the kind of guy that would always help you with your personal life. If I got in trouble he would help me find a lawyer and insist that I take his help.
He put up with my ass through child custody battles and a DUI, and many other challenges life brought me. When my father passed away he closed up shop and let the employees go to the funeral. He always gave my kids gifts from baptism to graduation and marrage.
Please pray for him!

Oh @tbnfl4sun. Heartbreaking. The prospect of losing a person who has been important in your life is terrible and I am sure leaves you feeling helpless and perhaps lonely and sad for his family all at the same time. We meet so many people in a lifetime but only a lucky few see us for all that we are inside and out while we see them back the same way. It is gut wrenching to lose these people. I don’t know what happens after a person dies but I am certain the essence of that person is seperate from their physical form. The parts of your friend you love and that make that person who they are will always be with you. Both in your memories of times shared together, but also in the future happiness you find. It sounds like this friend helped you through some tough times. When you see your kids thriving or find yourself in a moment of happiness you will know this friend helped get you there. And in those moments he will still be as close to you as ever.

I lost a co worker to Leukemia once. They tried everything with help of his sister but in vain. I will do a little prayer for the bossfriend !
