A major fire occurred in Keude Blang Ara, Krueng Manyang Village, Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh Regency.
Ten shophouses (shop houses) were burnt down in Keude Blang Ara, Krueng Manyang Village, Kuta Makmur District, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, Wednesday, June 5 2024.
Ten units of semi-permanent shophouses caught fire at around 18.00. WIB.
According to Kuta Makmur Police Chief, Ipda Fadhulillah, this fire triggered a quick response from Kuta Makmur Police Personnel who immediately went to the location to help extinguish the fire.
In extinguishing efforts, local residents also came to provide assistance, while a number of fire trucks arrived at the location.
"From the information we received, this fire started from a spark from a Ginset machine that was turned on by one of the shop owners. The fire quickly spread to other shophouses, especially the adjacent clothing shop," said the Sector Police Chief.
Even though this incident caused quite large material losses, the good news is that no casualties were reported in this tragic incident.
The condition is currently still in the process of being handled and further investigated by the authorities. Local communities are expected to remain vigilant and cooperate in efforts to prevent fires in the future.
At the location, 4 fire extinguisher units were seen being deployed to extinguish the fire. Firefighters assisted by personnel from the TNI, Polri and the community struggled to extinguish the fire.
The fire has been successfully extinguished, currently officers are cooling and cleaning the scene. The cause of the fire and losses are still under investigation.
