Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Banda Aceh City Ahmad Haeqal Asri handed over certificates of appreciation to the Head of the Aceh Industry and Trade Service, Mohd Tanwier and 13 other employees for regularly donating blood.

The handover of the award certificate took place at the Aceh Industry and Trade Office, Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province, Indonesia, on Tuesday (11/6/2024).

Ahmad Haeqal Asri said that certificates of appreciation were given to regular donors as a form of PMI's appreciation for benefactors who regularly donate blood.

Apart from award certificates, donors also received blood donation pins and blood donation souvenirs.

"We really appreciate all the donors who have voluntarily donated blood at PMI. Thank God, there are also many employees at the Aceh Department of Industry and Trade who donate regularly, this is extraordinary.

"Hopefully this positive spirit can become more widespread and be followed by the community, especially young people," said Haiqal on the sidelines of handing over the award certificate.

Today, the Aceh Department of Industry and Trade also held a blood donation activity in its office environment. Apart from being attended by Aceh Disperindag employees, employees in offices adjacent to the Aceh Disperindag also participated in blood donations. The blood donation activity succeeded in collecting 43 bags of blood.

On that occasion, Haeqal also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the contribution and commitment of the Aceh Government in implementing the ASN blood donation program. This program, he continued, really helps patients in hospitals who need blood.

Haeqal hopes that blood donation can become part of the healthy lifestyle of the people of Aceh, especially the younger generation. Blood donation has many benefits, including reducing the risk of heart attack, reducing the risk of cancer, increasing red blood cell production, reducing bad cholesterol levels, and others.
