THE HOLE

Many of the human experiences serve to illustrate many stories that leave a teaching, especially when it comes to the Bible, the Word of God. There are a significant number of people, who need to understand better what God the Creator says. A couple of ministers, established in Africa, lived the following experience. Generally, the head of a tribe turns out to be the strongest, and as such stands out from the other men, wears several ceremonial garments, the rather long hair, adorned with very beautiful carved objects, all this, is a considerable weight on itself. To be supplied with water, they must remove it from a well about sixty meters above the ground. On one occasion, a man who was descending, lost stability, and fell to the bottom of the well, some tried to get it out, but since it was robust, they could not. The head of the tribe approached to know what was happening, and watching the wounded man at the bottom of the well, he shed all his ceremonial garments, to be like the others, descending, put the wounded on himself, and went up saving him from a certain death, at the time of opening the Scriptures.

The Deep Well

Let there be in you this feeling that was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider himself to be equal to God as a thing to cling to, but he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, made similar to men; and being in the condition of a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, and death on a cross. Philippians 2: 5-8.

The Chief of the tribe, to save the man who had been injured, had to get rid of all the clothes and ceremonial items, which indicated his status as leader. There was no doubt in him, over his clothes was that unhappy man who needed to be saved. Jesus did exactly the same. He shed all that indicated that He was God, and taking mankind upon himself, he went to death on a cross, so that man could be saved. There are millions of human beings who are at the bottom of the well, not knowing that on the edge is the Lord Jesus willing to descend and take them out. The unsaved need to hear what Jesus did for them, so do not hesitate any more and once and for all take the decision to transform yourself into a watchtower from the top of the tower.
