Leaping out on Leap day
Well although yesterday was my last day working, but today is my official last day with the organization, (yeah I know anyone who follows me knows that as it has been my focus for the last couple of weeks or more and I have mentioned it a lot LOL) so I could say, well as someone said to me I am leaping into retirement on leap day the 29th of February I guess it means I have to wait for years till I celebrate the anniversary of retiring LOL
And I thought a good way to mark this occasion is to share a few shots of the main United Nations head Quarters secretariat building on First Ave in NYC, the first building I worked in when coming to NYC, many years ago back in 1997, I have worked for the organization for over 30 Years in total, but only came to NYC then, with an agreement it would be for one year only, but ended up being a little longer than that :)

Starting with a couple of probably common shots of the building, the first from First Ave and 45th, and this next one taken at the end of 43rd Street by Tudor City.

But i wanted to also signify both leaving for retirement and find some different angles and came up with this next shot

And to finish off another shot with the Un Building in the background and some reflections, which kind of also fits with my thought on this post, over the last couple of weeks I have been saying farewell to many of my colleagues I have worked with for a long time and that has had my thoughts reflecting on the good ad not so good parts of my career, I have enjoyed my time working there and would do it all again, but now its time to walk away and enjoy retirement and more time for my photography hobby

Always have memories of places and people and not much the buildings, you most definitely stayed a lot longer than the time anticipated.
If celebrating every 4th year it will slow down the process, I teased my brothers grandson just yesterday, had he born one hour later he would have been 7 and not the grand age of 28 LOL...
Ohh yeah and its been a good time, but now for new things and doing what I am my wife want to do :)

the glass architecture makes this building beautiful .awesome photographs my friend.
