Engine 260 Muster 2019 Firetruck details
Engine 260 Muster 2019 Firetruck details
In this post and this post I shared a few shots of some of the Fire Engines in the Annual Engine 260 Fire Muster here in Milford CT at Eisenhower Park.
For this post, I will share some shots of the details on a couple of the older fire trucks that caught my eye, As much as I enjoyed looking at the firetrucks I enjoyed looking at the cool details on some of the older ones, such as the shiner silver on this part of the truck, I gather its hose related but not being a firemen I have no idea what it actually is

Does anyone know what this is?
Or the flags and Hose one sign on this old cart fire appliace, the oldest one in the show

I thought mono worked best with this shot of the Oil Lamp and other bits and pieces on this truck

And a couple of the heads to go on a fire hose, quite sturdy pieces, and the handgrips are very strong and sturdy, on a big firehose the power of the water makes holding onto the head or nozzle where the water comes out is very hard work from the couple of times I have tried it

And finishing off with a couple of older portable fire extinguishers, quite stylish a lot more so than modern ones, but I would imagine a lot less effective

A horse-drawn fire cart with the fire bell attached? Is that what you are asking?
As an aside, these images POP for real! I love what you did to the metal to make it really show off.
This was a great post! Thanks!

Ohh No My bad I was asking what the thing in the first photo is off, not the second one, the bright shiny silver thingy with the holes in it lOL
Thanks for such kind words you sure now how to make someone feel good :)
Ahhh! I believe that is a fire hose suction strainer. I think they are mostly used in lakes and pools and suction water. The strainer is to keep big pieces out.
That makes perfect sense as to what it is, thanks for the info, your sure are such a fountain of KNowledge, I thought i was but I now know compared to you I need to step up LOL
