SpaceX To Accelerate Rocket Launches
Space is becoming an exciting frontier. SpaceX is one of the leading companies in that field and they seek to only grow larger.
In 2019, the company launched 11 missions. By 2023, the goal is to get that number up to 70 a year. This is still a big jump from the 38 planned missions in 2020.
It is all part of the Starlink program where the goal is to blanket the planet with satellites. This will serve as a piece of the next generation communication system.
The decreasing price of space launches is driving a massive rush. This could be one of the next gold mines for companies looking to cash in on a large scale. The entry level is high but the payoff could be substantial.
Elon Musk estimates that Starlink, alone, will generate roughly $30 billion. Virgin Galactic is already a publicly traded company. Richard Branson's foray into space focuses upon a new category called Space Tourism. He is charging $250,000 per seat on the first launch which is scheduled for 2022.
For its part, the SpaceX crew is looking to launch upwards towards 42,000 satellites. To accomplish this, an accelerated schedule has to be implemented.
Musk's plan is to keep pushing things further out. The proceeds from Starlink, according to his vision, will be used to fund ventures to Mars. That is Musk's ultimate goal since he sees it as vital to the survival of humanity. Others have their sights set a bit lower, like on the Moon.
There are trillions of dollars (actually quadrillions) when we add in things such as asteroid mining. What takes place over the next couple decades will likely be a windfall for some companies.
It is a good idea to keep an eye on some of the companies that are early in the space game. Right now, almost all are private, thus out the reach of most investors. That will change over the next decade.
Thus, there could be a lot of opportunities for people.

Well the Starlink needs a little bit more R&D based on today pressurization test.
I worked at KSC 14 years, space is a risky business, glad millionaires are stepping up instead of the government, i.e. NASA
