Kayaking the Amazon river

Just passed a small school boat (strange but true) in the morning sun as I paddle about 2 weeks away from reaching the finish line and the Atlantic Ocean after near 5 months. This is the Taj de Peru a notorious section where in the evenings robberies are rife. We paddled hard and fast and stayed in little fishing villages to avoid detection.
