The reddened sea
A drop at a time the oceans filled with the blood of every man
pooling in the recesses of the darkness away from weakened hands
The last of the sun glinting off the peaks of waves capped white
From troughs deep and wide the tallest no longer had their sight
Boats bought on false fortunes untethered and left alone to float
Across vast expanses of hopes and dreams that now filled the moat
Castles under attack still remain with their walls holding strong
And atop the parapets the always winner sings loud a victory song
The fallen with their fires smothered tend to the dead and dying
A loss was inevitable perhaps but there is no shame in the trying
To face tyranny and lose is not of the stuff where legends are made
Giving all and falling short is where the beauty of game is played.

Hi Taraz. That is an amazing photograph with a vibrant red. That is one you should blow up and frame.
One day I would like to have a place large enough to have a few pictures on the wall. At the moment, I only have one from my our (wife and I) first trip together in Barcelona.
I like the conclusion. Those who succeed should be the ones who are not afraid to face danger squarely
I think as this is not the Poem section a lamen terms version could be useful to help understand. As thats what philosophy is all about is trying to get a greater understanding.
Or, you could think about it and see what comes to mind. Never know what truths are hidden in there.
