The swans

Swans are graceful creatures - when they are in the water and here are a couple pics that I have taken over the years starring their loveliness.. The top one is my personal choice of the three as it was taken in Bellagio while on honeymoon in Italy and the swan necks make a joining heart.

The next is from Switzerland in Lucerne and this I like because it captures the flower bridge in the background and there is a drop of water falling from the swan's beak which adds a little something extra.

The last is a Finnish swan that was calmly paddling around Helsinki harbour. It was a cold, grey and rainy day yet it still held such grace and dignity.

It is interesting how each brings back clear memories of the moment I took the photo. I wonder if in a few decades it will still be the same.

I am yet to capture a black swan, but there have been a few black swan events of late.
