Steemit Burnout?
Warning: I am not a psychologist.
Burnout is NEVER about volume of work and is ALWAYS about emotional abilities. Big claim? Not really but this puts the responsibility for it solely on the person experiencing it but no one really wants to admit that they are completely at fault for their own poor position so will look for external sources to lay blame.
The reason that stress so often appears when there is a high volume of work is because that is what happens, a heavier load, more stress. It is quite simple. The difference between people is their ability to cope under that stress. It is not much different to a physical stress where someone can squat a maximum load of 100 kg whilst another's max may be 200.
This is of course trainable but, most people are not interested in doing and even if they do, few are willing to train at a deep enough level as it is filled with discomfort and failure. Two things that humans do all they can to avoid.
The problem with this avoidance though is that we are ill-equipped to deal naturally with the artificial stresses we have introduced. The human body and mind is remarkably adaptable but that doesn't mean it does it without guidance.
We generally come pre-loaded with software to handle the tasks of thousands of years ago that we have developed as a species through evolution. But, due in part to that same evolution, we have been able to manipulate our environment and introduce things we are unprepared for. For the body, it is things like sitting a lot that will damage us as we are not designed for it naturally and will have a hard time in one life time to change our physical structure.
The things we have introduced however have the same affect on our minds and a lot of these things are emphasised through the work we do. For the most part, the only reason to work is to survive but gone are the days of hunting alone. Now we have to jump through many unnatural hoops and deal with the many desires that have been created after each jump.
At Steemit, it is the people driving for reward but aren't getting it that are frustrated by lack of reward. The people looking for engagement but aren't getting it that are frustrated by the lack of engagement. These are unfulfilled wants, desires and wanting and not having puts pressure on and this will eventually lead to situations where the frustration boils over and breaks the dam walls.
There are so many of these stress points that we are hardly capable to keep track and since we are increasingly living in societies that is reducing exposure to stresses when young, our capabilities to deal with it are also severely limited.
This is a very large topic and I will get to more points of it in time but I thought I would just add a note here as a reminder to those who mat be feeling stressed, either through the world or Steemit directly. It is you. You are the cause.
And, you are the cure.
Once people start to take responsibility for their own development and abilities to identify and cope under the various stress points, they will not be as inclined to avoid and will more likely use each as a learning experience. This will strengthen their abilities in fundamental ways and they are likely to find out all kinds of interesting things about themselves and their world.
Of course, one needs the space to do this which means recognising and preparing well in advance before stress gets to an overwhelming level. That means now. All you need to do to never be stressed to the point of failure in the future is pay attention to yourself now, and learn about and evolve the rudimentary mental programs we have all been equipped with and all have the ability to build.
Don't stress about it though, think about it.

It's all about the three 'E''s
Ego
Expectation
Entitlement.
WE expect a result of an outcome, and feel entitled to it.
Just a shame the world doesn't work on our expectation model, and plays with our entitlement emotions..
Plus it's bloody annoying when your hours of work gets $2/3, and some totally inane posters - that have only been here a month - and have a 'biggy' who decides to look after them.. (for whatever reasons...I have my own thought's on that one...) ensuring $30 + a post for drivel...every... single...day.
...It certainly screws with that entitlement thing..
Understanding how these mechanisms work and how they combine to manipulate our thoughts and behaviours is vital isn't it?
@tarazkp I also engage my self in other things. I dont feel burnout. Ive only been 100 plus days on the platform. I get burn out if ive been doing same stuff over and over again with a heavier load of work. Thats when stress hits me.
I think often it is the repetition that creates the stress, including the repetition of thought.
one more time sir, you hit a nerve.
We are the reason for where we are at in humanity

I keep forgetting this. I mean I read it, often, because you often talk about it. And everytime, I find myself agreeing and feeling motivated to "cure" myself, but then I forget, or I lose the drive to do it and then knowing that I am the only one who can change it becomes useless.
I'm not stressed, but I overthink things. And I don't think I should . However, it's easier to overthink than to actually have the guts to change, isn't it?
When I say 'think' I mean more explore the word, be curious and open to possibility, not force the mind to act. There is a difference. When the thought of action is bound to discovery (especially self-discovery) the ability to move (change) is greatly enhanced.
Knowing and doing are quite different but IMO, knowing what to do without actually doing it is not knowing at all as it has missed the part that knows to act.
I agree, I think knowing without doing is a form of cowardice.
Your right bro , alll it takes is the acceptance of responsibility like you rightly said. It has a way of reducing the stress, but only a few people know this.
One can actually learn from the simple stress they encounter as they are just a passing experience to making you a better person. It takes only a wise man to know this and tap from its potential.
Agreed on both of you. Although I couldn't help but wonder if it's truly within our control. I personally would agree, but I see some of my friends struggle. It's easy for me to agree since I am fortunate to have a good understanding of myself, but that can be it. I started with a good understanding of myself, and most probably they didn't (or don't).
It's too complex to comprehend at times. People may call me insensitive if I say to them, "It's your fault, you are suffering". I also think that if it's really that simple, then it will be rare to find someone struggling. The reality is there are a lot.
Well, I still don't have an answer, and I'm just laying this here for us to ponder. Because at the end of the day, I still agree and believe that it is ultimately our choice.
Yes, this is possible but it is still able to be affected much like some people are 'gifted' some physical attributes, it doesn't mean that those without can't develop skillsets to close some of the gaps. Will they reach the same level, perhaps not but improvement is relatively easy.
unfulfilled desire will cause people stress due to their force of will power while their minds are not capable of.
as the lights we give excessive electrical.
thanks
Patience is the key.
You will not achieve anything overnight.
You just have to wait for your chance and grab it with both hands
Yes, pushing harder, trying to create more than your ability would make you ill, or at least stressed! You shared very strong statement here. Everyone should and read and think carefully. Thanks for this important warning. Upvoted and followed. Stay healthy in Peace!
Absolutely true. The mind is a very powerful tool for us humans to maximise. We can reach unspeakable heights if the mind is put to proper full utilisation.
On steemit being stressful when your not getting rewarded.. am inclusive I get so stressed and frustrated with posts I take time writing and I keep earning small or zero figures. But I've trained my self to accept that and endure. I keep learning something new everyday and I believe I'll get a breakthrough soon.
Thanks for clarifying this @tarazkp
Oh look at beautiful sky !Like it😊💐
