Pretty fly for a Steem guy

Getting ready to board the flight from Vienna bound for Helsinki on my way home. While the training event went in a few odd directions over the day, I am pretty happy with the overall result that we accomplished and I think that the clients kow have a good foundation to build upon. After we finished, my colleague who sat through the day asked if it is okay of he uses me for all future training sessions, which is a good sign. I much prefer it this way too as zit means that I am able to stsrt fillibg my schedule without having to rely on someone else to provide cases. This takes time of course, but is heavily helped by the direct relationship development that comes through working together.

While a good day training-wise, I am looking forward to getting home as the persistent flu that has plagued the last two weeks of my existence has worsened. I am pretty sure I have to head into the office tomorrow, but I think I will have to make it a short day and try to get some rest before the weekend. My wife is away most of tomorrow night too so I want to be awake enough to play with @smallsteps.

I won't get home until after 1 am however, and I will have to get up when she does to take her to daycare, so I am not expecting more than about 4 hours sleep tonight. I have found that currently I do not sleep that well in hotels and last night I awoke at about 330 am as if it was 7. It makes for a long day, and the end of the session was a bit of a mental struggle.

I would love to spend some time writing at a keyboard (on phone at the mo) and get some thoughts out as it helps me process the day, even if I don't spend time writing directly about it. For me at least, the benefit I get from writing doesn't rely on a narrow set of content, though I do find writing about Steem useful as it helps me consider aspects I need to think about in order to make my decisions. I think this is important.

I got a funny kind of comment today that was talking about them not liking my shill of Steem and how the content is not interesting or something. Fair enough. The interesting thing is I do not remember that person ever commenting on any content of mine that wasn't Steem related. I do write other things too, they mostly get less engagement.

I think it is time people understood that a lot of the people on Steem now are those who are interested in the future of the platform, who have invested, who have engaged and interacted all the way through the bear market. This means, they are interested in Steem content, not just mine, many aspects of it. Of course, a person doesn't have to read my content at all, they can always unfollow or mute.

When it comes to mass appeal, content can't be niche and Steem is a niche topic interesting to a subset only. It is okay, things can have value without being loved by the masses.

Everyone has their opinion and social media gives everyone a platform to express it. Steem takes this to a new level over the centralized platforms as, not only can people express it freely, what they say is protected by the blockchain forever.

Time to board. And onboard.
