Last night's last call

I finished my training session today and managed to not screw it up completely. It was an admin training which means it involves and requires more under the hood understanding, something that I am not completely comfortable with in all areas. I learned a lot though.

I had an hour or so to hit the shops and find something for my daughter who likes to keep me on my toes with her "surprise" wishes. Last time it was "something soft"and this time the prompt was "sheep".

I found something that I think will be both practical and fit the order; a hot water bottle with a cute sheep cover to make it soft. She has started complaining about her legs being sore at night, so perhaps the warmth will help with the growing pains.

I also had a chance to sneak a few photos into the journey as I walked along the Rhine at sunset. It is quite a lively place in my opinion, but that is in comparison to Finland, where not much happens. If my city was this busy on a Thursday, it would be highly suspect.

I didn't walk too far during this trip as I am not feeling that energetic, but I am glad I had a chance to take some pics. The guy busking with the guitar was singing Ed Sheeran songs and it reminded me of my wife and I at the concert several months ago. It is pretty lonely travelling like this for work, especially when everyone else is sitting with friends or walking hand in hand with lovers.

This is where I settled down for a meal, a traditional German Tapas bar - they had wine. :)

I am sitting outside in a t-shirt while everyone else are wearing winter coats. It is 18 degrees at 8pm, Finnish summer at its best.
