Delivery done
It has been a little hectic today and there is shove more to go but, so far, so good.
My first training delivery went well, even though it was a little more complicated in content than was first planned. The group I was training was a great collection of people who were interested, active and asked many questions, I didn't have the answers for.
Back in the office my colleague and if I had told them it was my first training session and I hadn't. The reason why I chose not to was so the feedback was on me as a trainer, not, me as a trainer delivering my first training. By not telling them, I got a more honest evaluation of the session and luckily, the feedback was very good so I am glad.
As I see it, I do the preparation I can, deliver the best I can and the results are what they are. If the feedback is poor, it means my best wasn't good enough on the day and I have a lot of work to do. I have a lot of work to do even with the good feedback however as I have trained long enough that I can feel where I am lacking and in this case, it is the product knowledge depth. There is a lot of complexity though so I am okay at the moment and my colleagues and manager say it takes 6 months to a year to really get a good hold of it all.
I have a fair bit of follow up to do now and based on the result I have some more trainings put on my desk so, that is good. The training team I am in take their skills and delivery seriously, which is great and hopefully in time I will give my place and be able to add and leverage a slightly different skillset into the mix.
This is just a quick update based on yesterday's post but, I'll be back later. Right now, I have a list of home chores, family time and unfortunately - bills to pay.

I'm glad you're off to a good start in your new job!
Thank you, it is a bit of a relief to get this first one out of the way and based on the feedback, they are looking to line up some more quickly. I am not sure if that is a good thing back it means I have a lot more getting up to speed as the training sessions can cover quite different topics. It really is deep end living at the moment.
It went well congratulations. The feedback is a good measurement, indicator.
It also appears that you bosses are knowledgeable and most of all have a long term vision for you.
They are knowledgeable and do have a long-term vision for me - let's see if what they know is correct :D
Time is the only way to determine that.
Unless of course Steem just hits bitcoin highs. Then all our priorities change. Our bosses become our employees.
That would be pretty interesting but I don't really want employees, I prefer collaborators that have stake in our joint success. I think I know a place =)
Congratulation and best wishes with your new job! It is always nice to have some new challenges ;-)
It is a lot of challenge and a lot of interesting things which means, a lot of fun and opportunity available :)
Yay for delivery done and good feedback :)
(also I completely didn't understand the first sentence after the image)
