Boat for sale - slightly used

While chasing sunsets after the snows receded and the lake was melting, I came across this row boat. It obviously hasn't been used in a while and could do with a few patches and a lick of paint but it got me thinking. What happened to it? At what point did someone just decide to leave it to nature to reclaim? Perhaps the owner moved or passed away and it was left forgotten or maybe it needed some minor repair that never got round to being done. I am always amazed at how much we can consume and how much we can throw away. This boat was probably very important to someone when they bought it and it likely saw lots of action on the lake and then finally ends up here, broken on the rocks like an ageing rockstar that fell out of favour with the fans and became a sad alcoholic.

I really enjoy wandering through abandoned buildings and factories and think at some point I will go exploring this idea further and extend the range of sites. There are plenty to explore that I have not got around to yet. I will also post some of the ones I have investigated already as I think they give an interesting view of what was and how fragile what we think is important actually is.

Beautiful picture.

Thank you.
How would you like it delivered? It will probably fit in a large bag but will require a little self assembly before use.

I'll pick it up and row my ass out. Thanks.
