Way to work

in #photography7 years ago

It was -10C when I was out walking the dog and with his short dachshund legs, he had trouble powering through the drifts. This morning's trip to work was filled with a lot of snow also and some low sunshine which provided a little bit of gold, even though there were no rainbows.

The last few days it has been pretty grey so seeing the blue sky is a pleasant change. The sunrise times are also noticeable now as generally, I don't have to drive to work in the cover of night.. at 830am in the morning.

I actually can't remember the last time there has been so much snow on the ground and there are mountains piled up all over the place. It changes the landscape quite a lot. I used to live in the tropics and other than wet and dry seasons, it didn't change so dramatically in appearance. Finland definitely has a lot more contrast between, not always for the better when it hits -30C :)

I will see the snow soon enough so I will enjoy the warm weather for now! Have a great day!

It would be great to go snowboarding at the moment but, no time and it has 'been a while' since the last time.

Nice shot. I guessed you people can not wait for the snow to finally stop

Many people love it. here. There is a surprisingly high amount of things to do if one likes to go outside and ski or snowboard, skate or the like. Snow is on the ground for about 4 months of the year so people get used to it.

Great winter shots - I miss snow here. We have sooo mild winters in recent years, it's a shame.

It has been warmer I think a bit this year which means more snow. When it is very cold it is clear skies. It hasn't been very windy either so the snow is sitting on trees more often than usual.
