Travel with Tara : Way to Wayanad, Kerala, India
My trip to Wayanad was a last minute roadtrip. It was so random! A close friend of mine asked me if I wanted to join him on the trip and boy, was I glad I tagged along. It was a long ride from Bangalore to Mananthavady, Wayanad in Kerala, where we stayed at the Misty Heaven Resort. We started our journey at 4.00 A.M and reached the resort at around 11.30 A.M. We rested for a bit and then decided to check the places nearby.
The first place we visited was the Banasura Sagar Dam. It was around 21 Km from where we stayed. Banasura dam is the largest earth dam in India and the second largest in Asia. The place is open for visitation from 9.00 A.M to 5.30 P.M.

We then decided to head back to the resort as it was getting dark. The next morning we decided to go to Muneeswaran Hills because it was the closest to the resort. The ride up to the hills was so amazing, until we reached the gravelly roads, and that was scary and painful. But we survived the ride and went up to the hills.
Here's a picture.
The route to the Muneeswaran Hills was a scenic one. So many tea estates!! Here's a picture.
We came across this brook on our way to Muneeswaran hills.
On our way back home, we rode through this scenic road. It was so mesmering!
Here's a picture of the road from Mysore to Wayanad via Bandipur National Forest.
