What is happening around the world on Earth Day in 2018?

The 2018 theme for Earth day is to reduce the amount of plastic litter and pollution.

Thing about it. How many times do you receive a plastic spoon/fork when you eat take away? EACH TIME!
When you drink take away coffee, how many times do you receive a stirrer?

How can I assist?

Take your own cup and bamboo stirrer when you buy coffee.
Take little bowls when you go to a take away shop.

Earth Day Science Exxperiment (Make a seed bomb)

You will need the following:

1. 3-4 Packages of Flower Seeds
2. 3 Sheets of Construction Paper (we used blue, green, and white)
3. Food Processor
4. Scissors
5. Water
6. 3 Small Containers
7. Baking Sheet and Parchment Paper (drying seed bombs)

Instructions

1. Cut the construction paper into one inch squares. Separate the different colors.
2. Cover each paper in water and soak them for 20 minutes
3. While keeping the colors separate squeeze out their water, put each one in the food processor to create pulp, and afterwards put each one back into their container.
4. Taking your pack of seeds divide them between the three containers.
5. Now take a little bit from each container and squeeze them together. To simulate the earth.
6. Place them on the baking sheet and leave them to dry.
7. After this you can place your seed bomb into any pot and watch them grow.
