The Diary Game 27/8/2024 Pursuing Excellence through Character🙏🏾

Today has been an amazing day. I woke up early, around 4 a.m., to start my day at a camp meeting in Yaounde, which began today. After getting ready and organizing a few things, I attended the first session of the program and then went to a workshop. There were three workshops to choose from, and I decided to attend the one on m Pursuing Excellence with Character. It was truly mind-blowing.

The speaker emphasized that a lack of character can cause us to miss out on opportunities that God has prepared for us. He explained that we are governed by both spiritual and natural laws, and in every situation, we encounter one of these laws. If you encounter fire you would meet the law of fire. God, in His wisdom, has made us capable of judging all things and thus every decision you make influences your life. The speaker highlighted that a weakness in character can destroy us, even if we are talented. Our competence alone isn't always enough to advance to the next level if we have a character flaw; we must consciously work on improving ourselves. He mentioned that we need to combine two essential aspects in life: talent, which is external, and character, which is internal.

He explained that our likes, dislikes, actions, and behaviors sum up to principles, which, in turn, shape our lives. He defined character as the sum total of all life principles that a person possesses and lives by. He then elaborated on the importance of developing good character, stating that it influences our choices, decisions, work ethic, speech, attitudes, and behavior.

He concluded by saying that the measure of God's presence in our lives is determined by our character. Our character would determine how you even engage God in your life. And there is no future if we don't address today's shortcomings.** If we want God to fix our tomorrow, we need to fix today's weaknesses**. He encouraged us to write down our values and make sure we are aware of them.

After the workshop, we had the opportunity to get a free eye check-up, thanks Living Word Fellowship who when organizing the camp meeting saw it necessary to invite Acha Hospital to come do free test. Taking care of both the spiritual and physical.

I went for a check-up, and thankfully, everything was fine. After that, I took a bath, prepared for the evening session, attended it, and am now retiring for the night.
