Phatthalung, my beloved hometown….
Phatthalung is my beloved hometown where I had good memories of my childhood.
I showed you many interesting places in Phatthalung in my several posts in the past and I believe that you know about Phatthalung well if you follow me up.
And you would certainly recognize Khao Ok Thalu which is the most significant symbol of Phatthalung.
Khao means mountain or hill
Ok means chest
Thalu means pass-through
It’s really amazing that Khao Ok Thalu has a big hole at the chest. You can obviously see the sky behind the mountain through this hole.
Phatthalung is small but fascinating with an abundance of nature. You will find greenery surrounding you.
The atmosphere is very refreshing….
Thale Noi is one of the most popular places in Phatthalung where we love to see the sunset on the boat. (Thale Noi is the largest freshwater lake in Thailand.)
Apart from the magnificent sunset, you will also see the amazing “Yor” next to you… (Yor is one of the fishing instruments that local people popularly used in the old days.)

When I entered your post the first thing I saw was the hole in the mountain, then I read and you explain, I had never seen something similar, you say that you can see the clouds through the hole, I believe you, it would be interesting to take a picture from there, but it's too high, your post is very interesting
Yeah! I'm glad you found the mountain and the hole interesting. The view at the top is very picturesque and impressive, especially when you see it through the hole. It will be a great adventure for you. (there are some stairs from the start and when you get close to the top, you will have to climb with the rope.) Thanks a lot for your nice comment. ;)
