On DTube FIRST: Trying to guess English Idioms!

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

This is my brand new YouTube video for my channel with over 65k Subscribers and I'm uploading it to @dtube first! This video features my British fiancé @lauracody and I thought it would be funny to see just how good my english really is (I'm German)! So we looked at the following idioms and I had to guess what they mean:

  • To kill two birds with one stone
  • A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
  • Wearing rose tinted glasses
  • Who let the cat out of the bag
  • It's all downhill form here
  • Donkey's years
  • My neck of the woods
  • To give someone stick
  • Send someone to Coventry
  • Thick as thieves
  • To throw a spanner in the works
  • Wipe the floor with someone
  • Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole
  • The pot calling the kettle black
  • Bob's your uncle
  • Different kettle of fish
  • All mouth and no trousers
  • Pardon my french
  • Cat got your tongue
  • To chew the fat
  • Under the weather
  • Go pear-shaped
  • A piece of cake
  • Damp squib

Have you heard any of these before? Let me know in the comments below!
