شعراز خیام

افسوس که نامه جوانی طی شد
و آن تازه بهار زندگانی دی شد

آن مرغ طرب که نام او بود شباب
افسوس ندانم که کی آمد کی شد

unfortunately, the book of youth has been written
and that fresh spring of life has been completed.

that jolly bird whose name was adolescence,
too bad I don't when it came and what became of it.
