این کوزه چو من عاشق زاری بوده است
در بند سر زلف نگاری بوده‌ست

این دسته که بر گردن او می‌بینی
دستی‌ست که برگردن یاری بوده‌ست

this jug, made of clay, just like me, has been in love with truth.

it has been in the knot of the tresses of the beloved.

this handle that you see around its neck,

is a hand that has been around the neck of the beloved.
