Emotional Thunderstorms

A lot of folks are on the emotional edge nowadays and sometimes one little ‘tap’ can push a person over the edge. What’s it like for a Mom when grown sons decide to air ancient grievances? We wonder… did I do this? Is this ‘injury’ they claim my doing? Of course not, but the feelings that keep me awake – they are my doing, my creation.

This morning I look upon the life I have created with soft eyes, tear-filled, immense gratitude. Where there was lack, there is gratitude. Where there was conflict, there is gratitude. Where there was the agony of aloneness, there is gratitude. I am, as creator of this moment, filled with gratitude for the perfection of my creation.

So here I am on higher ground for now, giving a name to what I am doing: prayer. When in gratitude judgment fades away, lack is no more, even aloneness is no more – I am with myself and we are within the Source of all that is. ‘Pray without ceasing’ is a great recommendation.

This is Change that we’re living right now, as the old world of corruption crumbles and the new world of the heart’s integrity comes into existence. Emotional thunderstorms can clear the air and open the way for heart communication. It’s all good. Gratitude.
