THE ART TO TURN ON THE CULTURE OF TOURISM?

1. Acknowledge yourself that you are in shock

Knowing yourself is a cultural shock is the first thing to do. However, you should also immediately remove the following thoughts:

· I was wrong when I came here

· Other destinations will probably be easier

· I do not belong to this country

· You should be at home

· This place is really bad and / or people here are lacking in intelligence

· The people here are not friendly

The lack of positive thinking will bring bad prejudice about the country, the new country. Remember that cultural shock is also a psychological problem similar to sadness, and you should know that it will not last forever so do not worry too!

2 . Start with a quiet place

Unfortunately, cheap flights often carry you to big cities, and facing the dust, traffic, noise of the capital will make you exhausted soon! But this is very normal because even people from the countryside are not easy to live in the city (what a foreigner you are).

Nobody makes you start exploring a new country in the city where you landed. So you can escape the megacity to find smaller, quieter cities. Once you have "settled down", then familiar with food and lifestyle there then you can "throw" yourself into the bigger cities!

3. Slow down

You do not have to rush to discover if you are not well, after a long flight thousands of miles away. Not necessarily to visit and do everything at the same time. When planning your schedule, let yourself have 1.2 days of rest before you "wrap up" on the next.

4. Concern for health

Changing your time zone and changes in your diet can cause problems with the immune system. Most tourists have diarrhea problems in their first weeks abroad. Therefore, you need to drink more water to combat dehydration while on the plane. During the flight, eat fruit and do not party too much before you're 100% healthy!

5. Learn a bit

Knowing a little about the upcoming destination is a good thing to "fight back". You can read in advance about the history, thoughts, religion, places to visit ... of that place to understand more about the way of thinking of local people.

You need to find out if the people in that area have suffered from fierce war years. Have they experienced a disaster? Is there a political issue there ... If you do not understand the story behind it, you may find it easy to "take a hat" that they are unfriendly.

6. But do not study too well

Do not live dead do what the guidebook. Finding out about something is a good thing, but do not get too careful about it. Everyone has their own unique experience, whether they come to the same place. So, your sense of place may not be the same as what the author wrote in the book!

7. Learn a few local dialects

Just say hello or a few basic words, you will feel much better. Learning a foreign language is not compulsory when you travel because many places frequented by people often speak English to you, however, when living in a certain place to speak. Native language is very essential.

In case you are not fluent in that language, some words like "hello" or "thank you" will be helpful too.

8 . Talk to other travelers

Talk to everyone, listen to their experiences in the place where you live. Those who come first will give you a lot of useful information, advise you where to visit ... You are not alone in the integration of his. Write down all your feelings, record your experiences, and find out how other friends have done to overcome their culture shocks.

9. Less online

The first thing you do when you're shocked is on the internet. Keeping in touch with your family can bring you comfort, but if you want to be with your family, why decide to go?

The more often you go online, the more shocking your culture will be. Just call home when you really can not stand, not letting the social network govern your mood.

10 . Give more time to understand, and love a place

Remember the first days of school or work, not so you are very anxious? Let time and experience bring you another perspective on the new place. As long as you learn a lot of things and gradually you will find that living here is a joy, not just a "pressure to exist" at all.
