Today my article post
1705 Marjorie Maccall, the Irish woman who was buried twice
After dying of malaria, Marjorie was buried quickly in a grave to prevent the spread of the disease from her body.
Her husband had given Marjorie a valuable wedding ring as a gift. After her death, her husband was unable to take it off because of the swelling on her body. Marjorie's grave became a target for thieves because of the valuable ring. Thieves arrived at Marjorie's grave on the same day after her burial and started digging the grave. Despite their efforts, they could not remove the ring from the finger of the corpse. They decided to cut off the finger. When they cut the finger, a stream of blood came out. The dead body moved and started screaming. The robbers ran away in fear.
Marjorie came out of the grave and went home. Her husband, family doctor and her children were sitting in the house mourning. Marjorie knocked on the door of her house. Her husband, recognizing the knock, said:
"If your mother were still alive, I swear this would be her knock."
When the door was opened, his wife stood in front, dressed in a shroud. Blood was dripping from her finger, but she seemed alive. Her husband, seeing this, fell to the floor. He had a heart attack and died on the spot.
Margorie married again and had several children. When she died of natural causes, she was buried in Ireland's "Shankel Cemetery". Her gravestone is inscribed:
"Lived Once Buried Twice"
