Nice collection of images. Thanks.

You have an impressively lush garden @tahorfarm, what an INCREDIBLY huge watermelon!!! Have you eaten it all yet? I bet it was delicious :) following you now too!

Thank you and yes, it's all gone. Watermelon doesn't last long here. :)

And so it shouldn't when it looks that yummy!

I am so jealous of the watermelon!

Your garden looks lovely & busy.

Sunflowers are always beautiful. :)

Nice looking melon. Can't really grow them here unless you have a greenhouse.

@canadianrenegade That's really unfortunate, but I've heard that area doesn't have many snakes which seems like a reasonable trade.

That's true we don't have poisonous snakes or many other creepy crawlers. Mosquitoes are bad though....

There are always pluses and minuses everywhere.

Wow, I've never managed to grow melons here in Wales.

With the polytunnel now in place I might be able to get somewhere next year though.

@pennsif I missed the polytunnel last time I viewed your page. That's really nice. How is it holding up to wind?

I'm hoping it will make it through the winter in one piece. There are several large trees behind it - one branch would be deadly for the polytunnel.

Fingers crossed...

WOW! That's a watermelon! :)

What type of melon is that? We unusually grow congo watermelons because of the size. They have good taste also but usually I just drop them in a large ice bath and then feed them to the hogs on hot days. They love a few iced down melons.
