In the eleventh century Al-Hassan ibn al-Hayat, a prominent Iranian scientist, invented the first camera theory. Although his camera was not used for photographing, it was used for viewing the solar eclipse. Originally the camera was created by the basic technique of this camera. Al Hasan ibn Al Hayat is called Father of Optics.

In 15th century, there was no use of the lens when the photo was taken with pinhole camera. But in 1550, Xerolamo Kardamo introduced the Sharp photo using the first lens camera.
